INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCES

OUR TRIP TO MOROCCO

In the spring of 2019, MSLD students and alumni visited Asilah, Morocco. We had a wonderful experience and were warmly greeted by our Moroccan and Spanish hosts. Our plan is to have one of those trips a year after the COVID-19 pandemic allows!

Dr. Wildermuth's Testimonial
I won't lie: The first time I visited Morocco I was too bewildered to enjoy the experience. I only visited for one day, stayed in fast-moving and busy Tangier, and hardly had the time to enjoy the sights, smells, and friendliness of the world around me.

The second time was magical. We spent several days in Asilah, a small town by the beach about 40 minutes from Tangier. We got to know Moroccans of all ages. We experienced their hospitality, the pride they have in their little town, and their eagerness to learn and teach.  My second visit to Morocco taught me more about respect, culture, and the beauty of international friendships than I could ever have imagined.  I warmly invite members of the MSLD community experience what I experienced in Morocco. Please join us in our adventure!
