Understanding & Supporting Trauma Survivors in the Workplace

​Learn how to identify employees who have experienced trauma in the past and skills needed to support those employees in the workplace. Attendees will walk away with new perspectives to look at complex problems.  They will be able to initiate conversations that will lead to growth instead of division.

About Diane Schierer
Human resources professional with over twenty years of experience. Completed bachelor's degree in Business with a focus on Human Resources in the gambling capitol of the world, Las Vegas at the University of Nevada. Earned certifications as a Senior Professional in Human Resources with HRCI and Senior Certified Professional with SHRM. Recent graduate of Drake University ('17) with a Master's degree in Leadership Development.

Lynne is currently the Violence Prevention Coordinator at Drake University, working to educate and empower students to lead healthy and safe sexual and relational lives. She has 20 years of experience working in the social services field, working to serve at risk youth as well as sexual assault survivors and victims of violent crime.
